Maria Gineva, President of Future for the Children with Disabilities
As a teacher, I have worked with children with various disabilities for the past ten years. In 2003 I joined with other specialists and parents of children with disabilities to form the organization, “Future for the Children with Disabilities.” The goal of this organization is to promote the full development of children with disabilities and to encourage their integration in the community. I also participated in the recent development of a daycare center for children with disabilities who live at home, and I have been involved in many projects to improve the care of orphans with disabilities. I am part of a large network of people and organizations that seek to improve the care of orphans with disabilities who often suffer neglect in the institutions where they live.
